Phil Atrill

Phil has immersed himself in the world of glassblowing since he first undertook a degree course in Edinburgh. He has been successful in gaining scholarships to study and observe the work of a number of major glass artists including Janusz Posniak in Scotland and Dale Chihuly in Seattle, USA learning and developing his own style in the process. For three years, Phil worked as hot glass assistant for First Glass (Bob Crooks and Stewart Hearn).

Since he left the Royal College of Art, he has worked in his own London studio producing large one-off vessels, sculptural pieces and a range of smaller production works.
