Nicola Becci

Nicola uses a combination of silver, brass and gold in her recognisable style of jewellery. Textures and inscribed words are enhanced with oxidation and stars and hearts sit inside little cut out windows. Some of the brooches have a tiny hinged door with a secret message to be revealed on opening. Imagery is sourced from regal and religious artifacts as well as calligraphy, confectionery, chess and playing cards.
