Since graduating Steve has trained in blown glass with master glass makers in UK, Denmark, Switzerland and USA.

All the glass is free blown without the use of moulds and is either finished hot or incorporates surface decoration and pattern achieved through sand carving techniques. These designs are created by Kate who trained in fine art.

“We have an interest in the Venetian tradition, however, our main influence is from Scandinavia, whose techniques gently allow the glass maker to take advantage of the natural properties of the material, heat, centrifugal force and gravity to create forms in blown glass. To us it is extremely important to constantly learn new skills from master glass makers in Europe and USA.”
