Anita Klein

Anita's career in printmaking and painting has spanned over twenty five years. With a BA(Hons) and an MA from the Slade, Anita embarked on a career of painting and printmaking that was to tell the story of hers and her families' life.

Anita is visually interested in family life and domestic detail. Using her own family and herself as models, her prints relay a pictorial history of relationships, holidays, babies and a growing family.

Anita uses a variety of immediate printmaking techniques, some of which dictate the short print runs owing to the short life of the original block. Wood cut, drypoint and etching are favourite printing methods.
