Lynn Muir

Lynn Muir is long established as a maker of figurative sculpture using drift wood and a great imagination.

Originally trained in illustration, Lyn left Colchester School of Art with a degree and soon established a home and workshop in North Devon.

Lynn scours the beaches sourcing drift wood to fashion the main structure of the figures. She works on the form with machine saws and sanders until the piece is ready for the fine and detailed “illustrating” with paint and pens. Once finished, the figures take on their own characters, often with a sideways glance or a wry grin.
